Uunguu Ranger Coordinator - North Kimberley

We have an exciting opportunity to work in a beautiful part of the remote North Kimberley. Wunambal Gaambera Aboriginal Corporation (WGAC) is seeking an experienced and motivated person to join the Wunambal Gaambera Healthy Country Team as Uunguu Ranger Coordinator. 

The Uunguu Ranger Coordinator works closely with the Uunguu Head Ranger to lead the ranger team in delivering cultural, land and sea management activities on Wunambal Gaambera Country. Our vision and objectives are recorded in the Wunambal Gaambera Healthy Country Plan 2010-20, which guides all work conducted by the Rangers. The Uunguu Ranger team consists of 6 Indigenous men and women rangers and an extensive group of casual and seasonal workers.  

Strong communication skills and a passion for training and mentoring is a must. Preferably experience working with Traditional Owners in land and sea management. To be successful in this position you have to be able to travel and operate in remote situations. The Uunguu Rangers work on Wunambal Gaambera country with an office in Kalumburu.
